1. Commitment to Customer Satisfaction
Customer satisfaction should remain a top priority for all CDI members. Members are expected to meet or exceed customer expectations and address any complaints promptly, fairly, and professionally.
2. Integrity in Sales Practices
Members must conduct all sales activities with honesty and transparency, avoiding misleading claims, exaggerations, or unethical sales techniques.
3. Professional and Ethical Conduct
Members are expected to maintain the highest professional standards and avoid any behavior or business practice that could discredit the door and access systems industry.
4. Honesty in Marketing and Communications
All marketing materials, advertisements, presentations, and communications must be truthful, accurate, and not misleading. Claims about products or services should be verifiable and not misrepresent features, performance, or warranties.
5. Commitment to Health and Safety
Members must provide a safe and compliant working environment for employees and adhere to all relevant safety regulations. Members should also educate customers on product safety features and proper use and maintenance of door systems.
6. Fair and Transparent Contracting
All proposals and contracts for products and services must comply with applicable laws and clearly outline the scope, terms, and conditions of the agreement.
7. Integrity in Bidding Procedures
When participating in sealed bid processes, members must not attempt to obtain or share competitors’ pricing or proposal information before bids are formally opened.
8. Compliance with Codes and Regulations
Members must ensure that all installations, services, and inspections conform to applicable building codes, ordinances, regulations, and laws. Products must be installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and approved product listings.
