Overhead Door Technician Training Fact Sheet
Overhead door technician (ODT) is now a designated occupation under Alberta’s Apprenticeship and Industry Training Act. There are two levels of certification. Overhead door technicians install and maintain overhead sectional doors, rolling steel doors, multi-blade doors, rubber roll-up doors, rolling steel fire doors, electric door openers, electric gate openers, and access control devices in residential, commercial and industrial sites.
